Huntington Prep Pulls Out Victory In OT

In what has been the game of the day so far, Huntington Prep got off to a fast start over Greensboro Day only to see them take control of the game and lead for much of the second half. Miles Bridges of Huntington Prep scored six straight points in one stretch of the second half to tie the score at 50 with 1:30 to go in regulation. He then missed a potential game winner with 7 seconds to go in regulation. During the overtime session, Huntington Prep took a lead it would not let go as Bridges scored a bucket with :40 seconds to give Huntington prep a 3 point lead. The Bengals of Greensboro Day would have a good look to tie by Jordan Perkins but it was a little too strong.

Miles Bridges finished with a double double (17pts, 16rebs) for Huntington Prep and they will now advance to the semi-finals Monday at 5:25 against Oldsmar Christian in the main gym. Greensboro Day was led by Jaquar Moorman with 16 points and 9 rebounds. They will play in the losers bracket Monday at 4:55 in the auxillary gym vs Roman Catholic.
