On what has been an exciting tournament thus far we have now reached the final day of this year’s edition of the 2015 Chick Fil A Classic Championship. Below is today’s schedule with some previews of today’s match ups:

12:30 American Division 7th place game: Richland Northeast vs Mullins (Aux Gym)

12:30 National Division 7th place game: Greensboro Day vs Keenan (Main Gym)

2:00 American Division Consolation Championship game: Providence Day vs Pace (Aux Gym)

2:00 National Division Consolation Championship game:  Roman Catholic vs Arlington Country Day (Main Gym)

3:40 National Division 3rd Place game: Oldsmar Christian vs Blythewood (Main Gym)–Both teams are coming off tough losses. Look for both teams to fight hard to try and finish the tournament with a win. The physical play of Oldsmar along with their talented guards could be the difference in this game. Blythewood has the size to match up some, but Oldsmar could be too physical inside for the Bengals of Blythewood.

5:10 American Division 3rd Place game: Lower Richland vs Spring Valley–Both teams were both beat rather handily last night so this will be a  matter of who wants it most. With both teams being local and familiar with each  other look, for this local rivalry to be a hotly contested affair with the edge going to Spring Valley with their size and athleticism. However, Jacor Nelson and Clyde Trapp can play with the best of them, so hold on to your seats. This has the potential of going down to the last seconds.

6:45 National Division Championship game: Oak Hill vs Huntington Prep–This is the match up that most expected to see in the finals of the National Division. The main question is will Huntington Prep have the stamina to play a full 32 minutes after being pushed to overtime in the two previous games? It will be interesting to see as both teams have depth and athleticism to combat the other. This may come down to who has the best bench and who can make the best decisions down the stretch. Huntington Prep has been in this situation the last two days, so it will be interesting to see if Oak Hill can handle the heat if it is close down the stretch. Another thing to remember is Oak Hill is 8-0 all-time in the Chick Fil A Classic.

8:30 American Division Championship game: Greenforest Christian will be looking to run their all-time Chick Fil A Classic record to 6-0 and with their talent could very well be on their way. There is one small hiccup along the way and his name is Seventh Woods. If Woods can have the night he had last night along with help from his supporting cast, Hammond may find themselves carrying home the championship. John Ogwuuche and Justin Forrest of Greenforest have been marvelous this tournament and may very well be the best guard duo in the entire tournament.  It will take a valiant effort from the Skyhawks and they should have more help from the local crowd to help propel them to victory.
