Vikings Turn Up Heat In Second Half

The pressure defense of Lower Richland gave the Vikings of Spring Valley fits in the first half allowing the Diamond Hornets to break out to a 35-27 halftime lead. Jacor Nelson of Lower Richland picked up where he left off from Saturday with 11 points in the half. The second half was opposite of the first half as Spring Valley decided to apply some pressure of their own as they raced to a 23-2 run to get a comfortable lead and cruise to a 78-68 victory over the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets. The Diamond Hornets were led by Jacor Nelson with 20 points and 8 rebounds while the Vikings were led by guard Deangelo Ward who scored 21 points for the Vikings.
