The first National Bracket semi-final game matched the #1 team in the nation, La Lumiere, versus another top 10 team in the nation, Hamilton Heights. Both teams exchanged early blows as Jordan Poole came off the bench to ignite his team with a three point shot to give La Lumiere a 14-9 lead early. From there it was a group effort that contributed to a 12 -0 run stretch that gave the Lakers a 32-12 lead. Hamilton Heights would then make their own run and get a little closer before half cutting the lead to 23-36. As hard as the Hawks worked to get back in the game in the first half, Jarren Jackson worked that much harder at the beginning of the 2nd half and the Hawks did not have an answer for him. He would score off numerous dishes from Tyger Campbell to help keep a comfortable lead for the Lakers. The Hawks would not seem to go away and would cut into the 17 point lead with a dunk by Diawara Mahamadou and a basket by Gilgeous-Alexander to cut the Laker lead to 11 with 3:15 to go. From there the Hawks would only get as close as 9 points with a little more than a minute to go as the Lakers would pull away for a victory and advance to the National Bracket Championship with a 70-56 victory. Jaren Jackson finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Brian Bowen led the team with 24 points.

The Lakers will take on the winner of the Keenan versus Spartanburg Day game and play Friday at 8:30 in the main gym.
