Wildcats Tame Bengals

633 Reads

The first half was a fast pace with both teams using their aggressive pressure defense that created a lot of offense for both teams. EJ Montgomery got the Wildcats going quick with some nifty moves in transition and Darius Perry would move the ball up quickly creating transition baskets for his teammates. On the other end, Keith Matthews and company used balance scoring to keep the Bengals close at halftime by a score of 34-39. The second half remained tight as Blythewood would get as close as 6 points with 8: 30 to go but every time Wheeler would always seem to have an answer for a Bengal run. The tough play and and lack of fear from Blythewood showed they could play with anyone but on this night the Wildcats were just too much for the Bengals as Wheeler comes away with a 79-61 victory. Wheeler was led by EJ Montgomery who poured in 26 points (12-14 fg) and 9 rebounds.

Wheeler will now take on the John Caroll Patriots for the American Bracket final on Friday at 6:45pm
