Bengals Balance Too Much For Gray

The Bengals turned up the defensive pressure early creating easy scoring opportunities for JP Moorman and held Jalek Felton in check for much of the half. Felton was coming off a 42 point performance last night. He was able to get it going late in the half with a steal for a dunk and Juwan Gary chipped in 9 points to cut the lead to 28-25 going in to the half. The Bengals would go on a 10-5 run with 9:40 left in the second half and then Juwan Gary of Gray would bring the house down with a thunderous dunk to cut the lead to 5 points. With 6:25 to go Felton would get a steal and convert a layup to cut the lead to 44-42. The Bengals would then get the lead back to 7 points on a Pearce Landry three pointer with under two minutes to go up 50-43.  With :40 seconds to go JP Moorman would push the lead to 9 points on a layup and Gray would answer with a three pointer by Tommy Bruner to make it 46-52. John Newman would then help put the game away for the Bengals making 2 of 3 Free-Throws down the stretch for the win by a score of 54-49.

The Bengals were led by JP Moorman who finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds and leave the Chick-Fil-A Classic with a 2-1 record and a 5th place finish and an overall record of 17-1.
