Ascenders Advance Going Away

The Pilots were completely engaged at the start of this game as they jumped out quickly to an 8-0 lead. Spencer Washington got hot with 2 three pointers and Kyler Edwards would add one to extend the lead 21-11 with 8:27 remaining. Darius Days and Josh Green would light a spark under the Ascenders as they came roaring back to cut the Pilot lead to 21-20. After a technical foul on the Pilot bench, the Ascenders would go up 22-21 with 6:45 to go in the half. The Pilots would extend the lead again to 9 points on a dunk by Reggie Chaney and a basket by Edwards. Josh Green and Jahmius Ramsey would keep it close for the Ascenders as they would go in to half time down 36-32.

IMG would tie the game up within the first 3 minutes of the second half after another Darius Day three pointer at 43-43. Then two minutes later this happened, SILVIO DE SOUSA! Sousa’s dunk with 10:35 is sure to be a SC Top 10 play of the day. From that point on, the Ascenders took full control as Sousa would put the Ascenders up by 6 with 7:34 to go and Darius Days would hit another three pointer with 3:13 to go to make it 72-60. The Ascenders went on to finish off the Pilots with an 86-73 victory.
