Hammond vs A.C. Flora

Columbia,SC — Two Columbia teams faced each other in the Carolina Challenge Showcase last night when (8-3) A.C. Flora Falcons beat the (3-3) Hammond Skyhawks. Hammond had lead the game for nearly 29 minutes until the Falcons made a late game push. Guard Zach Foulks hit two three’s in the 2nd half to give the Falcons the push they needed. A.C Flora showed how deep of a team they were in the bench scoring column as they scored 25 bench points to Hammond’s 14. Diamante Brown hit two big free throws to cut Hammond lead down to one, then Brown hit the game winning lay-up to put the Falcons up 53-51. Brown finished the game with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks. Nasir Boyce also finished the game big with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Jordan Burch lead the Skyhawks in points and rebounds finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Hammond will take on Thomasville out of Georgia today at 2:20pm in the main gym.
