Pilots Finish Off Prolific Prep

203 Reads

Findlay Prep came in to this game with the same fire from the start as in the semifinals jumping out to a quick 10 point lead early over The Crew. As Prolific cut into the lead, Findlay would go to the zone with Bol Bol and Connor Vanover protecting the basket. This caused problems for The Crew as they would get no 2nd chance opportunities and the Pilots would convert on some fast break opportunities and some timely threes from Kyler Edwards. Edwards led the Pilots with 11 halftime points.

Prolific Prep would trail for the first part of the 2nd half until Jordan Brown and Jeenathon Williams would help get The Crew back in the game. Williams would convert a steal into a lay-up with 7:21 in the half to cut the lead to 52-46. He would then come up big with 3:13 left on a jumper in the lane to cut the lead to 59-56. His efforts would not be enough as Bol and Edwards would help pull the Pilots away to a victory by a score of 70-57.

Edwards would finish with 15 points and 8 assists while Bol would finish with 21 points to lead the Pilots. Jeenathon Williams continued his strong play in this tournament helping his team get back in the game in the second half.
