The Chick-fil-A Classic Tournament Director is Coach Gary Fulmer. He is currently the Athletic Director for Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He is married to Mary Jane and has two sons, Brett age 25 years and Kevin age 22 years.

Coach Fulmer has fourteen years’ experience as a Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. He served six seasons as the head coach at Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, South Carolina and eight seasons as head coach of Richland Northeast High School. Coach Fulmer’s career coaching record stands at 286 wins and 100 losses for an average of 20 wins per season over his entire career. His teams qualified for the State playoffs in eleven of his fourteen seasons. He has never had a losing season as a coach. He has had numerous of his players receive college scholarships to attend school and play basketball at all levels including such notables as Tyrone Wilson (University of Georgia, 1992-1996) and Aaron Lucas (University of South Carolina, 1998-2002).

During his eight seasons at Richland Northeast, the Cavaliers compiled a record of 176 wins and only 43 losses. In each of his last three seasons, his teams either tied or set school records for wins in a season with 24, 26, and 28.

Coach Fulmer hopes to continue his successful involvement with high school basketball by helping make the Chick-fil-A Classic one of the finest High School basketball tournaments in the nation.
