Sophomore Korie Corbett scored 15 points and Joshua Smith added 11 points with a strong fourth quarter to lead Ridge View (SC) to a 58-53 victory over John Marshall (VA) in the semifinals of the American bracket. John Marshall was the defending American bracket champion of the Chick-fil-A Classic and came into the contest as the No. 21 ranked team in the country by ESPN.

The largest lead by either team was nine points and the lead was never larger than six points in the second half. The Justices had the ball down by a point but had a shot clock violation with 14 seconds remaining. The ball was released just after the clock reached zero. Reginald Mack made two free throws for the Blazers and after a three-point miss by John Marshall, Jayden Pretty put an exclamation point on the victory with a slam with two seconds remaining.

Ridge View is the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4A in South Carolina with a 13-0 record. They played like one of the best teams in the state. Yale Davis added nine points and six rebounds for the Blazers. Latrell Allmond, a top 20 player in the 2026 Class, led four John Marshall players in double figures with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Dominique Bailey added 11 points with Damon Thompson and Aiden Argabright each chipping in with 10 points.

The Blazers will face another nationally ranked team in Grayson (GA) in the American bracket championship. That will be the final game of the tournament and is slated to tipoff at 8:40 p.m. Saturday night. John Marshall (9-2) will face St. Johns (DC) in the third-place game at 3:50 p.m.
