Latrell Allmond scored on a stick back as the buzzer sounded to help John Marshall (VA) escape with a 72-70 victory over St John College (DC) for third place in the American bracket.

The Justices had the ball out of bounds on the side with 4.7 seconds remaining. Damon Thompson drove to the left of the basket and his shot went over the basket, were Allmond flipped it back up for the game winner as he was falling out of bounds.

There were 13 lead changes and five ties as neither team led by more than nine points. The biggest lead in the second half was a seven-point cushion, 60-53, by the Justices with 7:07 remaining.

Allmond, a top 20 player in the 2026 Class, only played 20 minutes due to foul trouble but finished with none points, five rebounds and five blocks. Thompson led for John Marshall players in double figures with 17 points. Dominque Bailey added 13 points, Aiden Argabright chipped in with 12 points and Marcus Jackson contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.

John Marshall (10-1) was the defending American bracket champion.

Atosh Newman led three St John College (10-3) players in double figures with 20 points. Zyion Chase added 15 points and 10 rebounds while Jonathan Barton chipped in with 11 points.
