Korie Corbett scored 27 points and Ridge View (SC) withstood a fourth quarter rally to hold off host River Bluff (SC) 63-59 Wednesday night in the first night of the American bracket of the Chick-fil-A Classic.

The Blazers (12-0) led by as many as 16 points in the second half but saw the Gators rally to pull within 60-59 after a layup by Luke Chapman with 48 seconds remaining. Joshua Smith, who chipped in with 17 points, responded with a runner along the baseline to push the lead back to 62-59 with 22 seconds remaining.

River Bluff (9-3) missed a three-point attempt before the Blazers sealed the win with two free throws from Yale Davis with four seconds remaining.

Yasir Cromer scored 19 points to pace the Gators attack. Luke Chapman chipped in with 18 points, Pac Pitts added 10 and Blake Wilson contributed nine points and eight rebounds. Jayden Pretty snagged 11 rebounds for Ridge View.
