The Chick-fil-A Classic is excited to announced its Brackets 1st Round pairings and game times. All games will be played at River Bluff High School in Lexington. Our tournament field is loaded once again! This year’s field features 6 teams ranked in ESPN’s High School Basketball Top 25 Week 1 Rankings (Prolific Prep – CA #4, John Marshall-VA #13, Combine Academy-NC #17, Grayson -GA #19 and DME Academy – FL #24). Our SC teams are some of the best in our state rankings (Ridge View Class 4A #1, Lancaster Class 4A #5, Gray Collegiate Class 2A #1 and W.J. Keenan Class 2A #3).
Within these outstanding teams there are many highly ranked national prospects including 4 potential McDonalds All Americans from the Class of 2024 (Derrion Reid #9, Aiden Sherrell #21, Zoom Diallo #25 and Jason Asemota #29 – as ranked by ESPN). Rakease Passmore, Ryan Jones Jr, Mikey Lewis, Elijah Duval, Emmanuel Stephen and Gicarri Harris round out the other highly ranked prospects within the Top 100 of the Class of 2024. If that is not enough, how about the Classes of 2025 and 2026. The Class of 2025 features the #1 prospect in the nation (AJ Dybantsa) and the #1 propect in the Class of 2026 (Tryan Stokes). And don’t forget that our Girls Basketball Showcase game (Dec. 27 @ 7pm) features two defending state champions that boast the #1 (Sarah Strong – Grace Christian, NC) and #2 (Joyce Edwards – Camden, SC) ranked players in the Class of 2024.
