Southern Cal signee Isiah Collier scored 18 points and added five steals, five rebounds and three assists to lead Wheeler (GA) to a 60-48 victory over Keenan (SC) and a spot in the American bracket championship.

Wheeler will face John Marshall (VA) in the championship of the American bracket championship. That’s the final game of the tournament and will tip off at 8:40 Friday evening. Keenan faces Columbus in the third-place contest at 3:50 pm.

The Wildcats, ranked No. 17 in the country by ESPN, pulled away late to seal the victory. Wheeler led 27-21 but the Raiders hung around and pulled with 51-46 with 4:32 remaining. But Rickey McKenzie and Collier hit back-to-back baskets to push the lead to 55-46 with 3:26 remaining. That’s the closest it was the rest of the way.

Jelani Hamilton, an Iowa St. signee, added 12 points for the Wildcats.

Jaylen Golston scored 15 points and added 12 rebounds and Chrisean Oree chipped in 15 points to lead Keenan.
