Dynamic Prep (Texas) got a win in its first Chick-fil-A appearance on Thursday.

Jaden Toombs scored 15 points as Dynamic defeated Combine Academy (NC), in a National Bracket game of the tournament.

Dynamic will play Dream City Christian in a winner’s bracket game on Friday at 5:20 p.m. Combine faces The Rock School in a consolation game at 9:10 a.m.

It is the appearance for Dynamic, located in Irving Texas, in the event. DP is only the second team from Texas to appear in the Classic, joining Grace Christian (2010).

The game was a homecoming for Dynamic coach Jermaine O’Neal, who grew up in nearby Columbia and was a standout at Eau Claire High School before going on to a long NBA career. O’Neal’s son, Jermaine Jr., is a player on the squad.

O’Neal had 11 points. Jaylen Washington and Leon Horner each had 13 for Dynamic.

Dynamic never trailed and led by as many 12 points in the game.

Kansas signee Rakease Passmore led Combine with 24 points.
