Braylan Ritvo hit three 3-pointers in overtime as Archbishop Stepinac (NY) defeated Grayson (Ga.), 72-64 in the National Bracket semifinals on Wednesday.
Archbishop will play the Irmo/Lexington winner in the American Bracket championship on Thursday at 8:40 p.m. Grayson gets the Irmo/Lexington loser in the third-place game at 3:50 p.m.
Samuel Gibbs led Archbishop 19 points. Ritvo had 16 and freshman Danny Carbiccia had 15.
Archbishop trailed 57-55 with 14 seconds left but Gibbs tied it up by hitting a pair of free throws with seven seconds left. Isaiah Alexander blocked a potential game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.
In overtime, Ritvo got hot and his fifth 3-pointer of the game put Archbishop up 67-59 with 55 seconds left.
Tyrese Elliott led Grayson with 26 points and Amir Taylor had 12.
