Lexington (SC) got its first win in the Chick-fil-A Classic with a win over region rival River Bluff, 65-50, on Friday in the seventh-place game of the American Bracket.

This is the first of three games between River Bluff and Lexington this season.  The two Region 4-5A teams will play each other on Jan 13 and 31. The two county foes played in last year’s CFA Classc with Lexington winning.

Four-star prospect Cam Scott led Lexington with 22 points. Kaleb Evans added 15 and Francis Marion commit Jose Figueroa had 11.

River Bluff jumped out to a 14-7 lead before the Wildcats answered with a 17-3 run to lead 24-17 in the second quarter. 

Lexington led by as many as 18 points in the game.

Omari Caldwell led the Gators with 20 points and four of the team’s eight 3-pointers.

Luke Chapman added 11.
