Clarence Massamba scored 27 points and had two huge baskets down the stretch to lead The Rock School (FL) to a 57-54 victory over Hillcrest Prep (AZ) in the seventh-place contest of the National bracket.

Massamba was 11-of-13 from the field and added four rebounds, an assist and one steal without a turnover in 27 minutes. He came up huge when the Bruins made a late charge after trailing for most of the game.

Hillcrest Prep (14-3) trimmed the deficit to 49-48 on Tristan Beckford with 2:59 remaining. Evan Sterck made a free throw then Massamba connected on a corner three-pointer with 1:33 remaining. Then with 37 seconds remaining, he added a three-point play with 37 seconds to make it a 56-52 advantage.

Beckford, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, got the Bruins within two points until a Sterck free throw pushed the lead to three points. A three-point attempt at the buzzer by Hillcrest Prep went off the top of the backboard for the Lions to secure the victory.

Sterck added 14 points, four assists and two steals for The Rock School (9-6). Jason Asemota, a Baylor signee, led the Bruins with 21 points and eight rebounds. Tank Watson added 18 points as only three Bruins scored.
