Rakease Passmore and Jahseem Felton each scored 19 points to lead Combine Academy (NC) to a 69-59 victory over The Rock School (FL) Friday morning to open day three of the Chick-fil-A Classic.

Passmore, a Kansas signee, connected on 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. He ignited a 16-0 run in the fourth quarter that turned a one-point game into a 63-46 lead for the Goats. Passmore connected on two threes’ during that run and scored eight of the points. Rivers Knight also hit from long range during spurt.

Jayan Walked chipped in with 11 points for Combine Academy (16-2). Felton, who is signed with Seton Hall.

The Rock School relied heavily on the three-point shot. They finished 11-of-29 from beyond the arc but seven of their eight made first half field goals came from three. Joseph Hartman scored 16 points to lead the Lions. Evan Sterck added 12 points and Clarence Massamba chipped in with 11 points.

Combine Academy will play the winner of Hillcrest Prep (AZ) and Gray Collegiate (SC) in the consolation final at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday. The Rock School plays the loser of that game at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday.
